Terms & Conditions

 TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR BOARDING

Boarding

  • Boarding includes food, bedding, litter and scratch post / activity centre.

  • You need to bring with you any prescription food or food we do not stock and also any medication, if applicable

  • All belongings are left at the owner’s risk. Items left unclaimed by owners after seven days following boarding will be disposed .

  • Only cats from the same family home may share a room. We reserve the right to separate the cats if necessary, i.e. if they are not getting along. The appropriate charges will apply.

  • Royds Cat Hotel will use all reasonable endeavours to feed as instructed by the owner, however alternative diets/brands may be fed if the cat is not eating its  usual diet.

 

Vaccinations

  • All cats must be vaccinated against cat flu, feline enteritis, and feline leukemia.

  • The current vaccination certificate must be brought with you on the day of arrival for each cat. 

  • Vaccinations must have been within the last twelve months and be valid until the end of your cats stay.

  • A vaccination course must have been completed at least seven days prior to boarding.

 

Fees

  • Boarding fees are charged on a daily basis including the day of arrival and the day of departure.

  • A minimum boarding fee of three day's stay applies (this covers the cost of deep cleaning).

  • A deposit must be paid at the time of booking. The balance is payable at check-in or check-out.

  • Boarding prices are reviewed annually and revised charges are effective from 1st November. Please check prior to booking for the following year.

 

Cancellations & Amendments

  • If a booking is cancelled within fourteen days of the start date, we charge the booking deposit.

  • If a booking is cancelled within five days of the start date, we charge 50% of the total booking fee. For shorts stays the minimum is the deposit.

  • If a booking is shortened within five days of the start date, we require full payment of the original booking.

 

Health & Well being

  • Please ensure your cat's flea and worm treatments are up to date before arrival. If fleas or worms are found, appropriate treatment will be administered and charged accordingly. 

  • All male cats over six months of age must be neutered /spayed.

  • We reserve the right to refuse admission of any cats showing signs of illness pending veterinary advice. 

  • Owners must inform us at the time of booking and arrival of any medical history which may affect the cats stay, including any pre-existing or recurring medical conditions. 

  • If your cat should become unwell during their stay, we will always attempt to contact you or your emergency contact first. & we will refer them your vet (if they are in our local area) or to our own vet. You will be responsible for any fees; these must be paid on collection. 

  • Although your cat is insured during their stay with us, our insurance does not cover pre-existing conditions and it is always advisable that cats are individually insured by their owners.

  • Cats are boarded at the sole risk of the owner and whilst every care will be taken, Royds Cat Hotel cannot be liable for illness, injury or death of any animal in their care.

 

Care and Accommodation

I give my consent to the following should Royds Cat Hotel feel it appropriate for my cat(s) whilst they are in their care:

  • Can separate a family of cats that are together within one pen if required (e.g. in the event that one of the cats becomes unwell or if they begin to fight)

  • Cats from the same household in the same pen can be feed together at the same time.

  • Offer a different type of food if they decide not to eat the food specified by the owner on admission

  • We are able socialise, play and groom cats while staying at Royds Cat Hotel.

  • We are able to provide enrichment toys while staying at Royds Cat Hotel.

 

 

Social Media

  • I give my consent for Royds Cat Hotel to post pictures of my cat(s) including their name on social media sites such as Facebook. No personal details (e.g. surname, address etc) will be shared.

 

 

Authorisation for Veterinary Treatment

  • I agree that in the case of illness or suspected illness, a veterinary surgeon will be consulted and asked to carry out such treatment as he considers advisable. (e.g. blood tests, x-rays etc.)

  • I agree for the cattery to administer any prescribed treatments the vet considers advisable. I understand that the tests and treatment given will be at my own expense.

  • I also give consent for euthanasia should this be recommended on humane grounds by the veterinary surgeon caring for my cat, in consultation myself /contact person. Every effort will be made to use the cats usual veterinary practice should your cat require veterinary treatment. Where this is not possible, the cattery's vet will be used.

  • I agree to Royds Cat Hotel administering any parasite treatments/ prescribed treatments and any investigations that the vet considers necessary.
